Eliana's apartment was a perfect compliment to a wonderful week spent in Rome, with a one day trip outside the area to Pompeii. The apartment is exactly as pictured, with a large living/dining area, bath, and large bedroom with a comfy bed. We arrived on Christmas day, and nearly everything was closed except for a wonderful coffee bar called the Snack Shop about a block from the apartment. My family 0f two daughters and my wife were jet laggeg and I must have had an adrenaline shot or something, so I spent the afternoon sitting outside the door at the coffee place, sipping cappucinos and absorbing the Roman neighborhood and its people.
A bakery shop opened the next day, and sweets were found to get us going. The local supermarket, also close to the apartment opened the following day, and we were able to shop there the rest of our trip.
If you want to rent an apartment close to the bus stop, about two blocks, and a short fifteen minute walk downhill to the subway, then this is it. As one of the previous visitors has stated, the apartment does provide a wonderful respite from the hustle and bustle of the touristy stuff, and even though the weather was cold, we are looking forward to another trip to Rome and Eliana's apartment in the future.Eliana was so helpful and responsive to our requests, arranging our rides to the airport and unplugging a slow draining shower.
You can't go wrong staying here!!!!!!!!!!

After four subsequent stays since 2005 we cannot but fully recommend this surprisingly quiet and spotless clean appartment, technically best equipped (climatised, washing machines, Laptop, TV, Film-CD's)as well as most commodious furnished. Carefully looked after by charming Eliana, helping with all touristic services. A near populous and commercial Piazza offers a daily greengrocer market,fine delicatessen shops, a high quality Pizzeria. Nearby medical services. Within easy 10 to 15 minutes direct bus and metro connections to town (5 stations to St. Peter).

No tourist to be seen !

All of the comments that we had read about Eliana as a hostess and about her wonderful apartment were absolutely true. She and her husband are both extremely helpful in all ways. We took the metro from the train station to within walking distance of the apartment. We were picked up and driven to the apartment as it is a bit confusing from the metro to the apartment the first time there. After that we walked to the bus stop or to the metro for our daily excursions. The apartment is truly comfortable and as you are staying in a neighborhood, you get the feel of Italian life- not just seeing the tourist spots of Rome. We highly recommend this apartment to everyone wanting an all around experience in Rome.

We had a fantastic stay and enjoyed the local suburban village life for a week. The apartment was beautiful, comfortable and cool when we came home each day from the September heat. Eliana was very helpful explaining the local transport and shopping facilities which were all very close and convenient. We will return again one day to enjoy the roman life from the apartment in Battistini.

If you are looking for an appartment in a quiet zone, at a reasonable price, don't go further, for this location is the good one ! We've been there several times. Even if it's not in the hyper-center of the city, it's a vast and calm appartment. Also it's clean, sunny, and well furnished. The owner takes cares of any detail. She even replaced the mattress of the 2 sofas with more comfortable ones, so that you can plan holidays with all your family in this location and be sure that everybody sleeps well ! By the way, the place has very good positive vibrations. It's an appartment I recommend personally

The cleanest, roomiest and the most centrally located apartment in Rome. The owners were very helpful and always willing to make our stay comfortable. We liked it so much that we went back.

The apartment itself was spotlessly clean and nicely furnished.The metro was a short walk away which was fine in the mornings. We loved Rome ,with all its sights,noise,and tourists, butit was great to have somewhere quiet to retreat to to recharge our batteries!We could not recommend Elianas highly enough.We hope to return."

"Sehr ruhig gelegen, was für Rom nicht ganz typisch ist. Wir haben nach anstrengenden Erkundungstouren prächtig geschlafen. Eliana war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat unseren Kindern für die Dauer des Aufenthalts sogar ein Laptop zur Verfügung gestellt, so dass die Teenies ungehindert mit ihren Freunden chatten konnten. Absolut empfehlenswert!"

"The apartment is very pleasant, clean, and well furnished, and Eliana is a gracious, helpful, and welcoming hostess. The apartment is somewhat far from the center of Rome, but is convenient to bus or metro, and is very quiet and peaceful. There are good markets very close by. We enjoyed our stay there, and would definitely recommend it to others."

"Excellent accommodation if you like to stay in a local area to experience real Italy and not only Tourist sites,15 minute walk to the tube then good cheap connections to everything you will want to see. Our 12 year old twins loved the apartment lots for them to do there. Owners very helpful."

Taxi service from to and from the airport was excellent and worth having. Clean and well appointed appartment. Welcomed by the owner Eliana. Transport into the city is fine, but can be busy during rush hour. Buses however run late, you can be back from the city center with in 10 minutes, having enjoyed a late dinner. First class I would recommend a stay here.

"When we were greeted by Eliana and Danielo we knew we made the right decision. They could not have been more pleasant and helpful. We were given maps and computer print-outs of all the local things that guide books can't. The apartment was great. The rooms were spacious and spotless. Eliana provided us with everything we could have possibly need. The neighborhood had character and we found ourselves wanting to get back to the snack bar at the top of the hill for delicious cappuccino and espresso to the right and to the left was the best gelato in all of Rome. At night we could sleep without the sound of noisy restaurants and wake up in the morning to sip coffee on the balcony. Not much of a view, but I loved watching the woman across the way cooking in her kitchen. For the price you could have put me in front of a brick wall. It was a bargain. You have to walk a short distance to the Metro to get a subway which can take you to the Vatican in under 5 minutes and the Spanish Steps in under 10. Staying at Eliana's apartment made out stay in Rome so much more comfortable. When we got back after a long day we felt like we were going home. She even arranged for a driver to pick us up and drive us to the airport. Do I need to say anymore?"

"This was our first Homeliday rental experience. We will never travel again without checking into this website first. The apartment was everything it promised to be. It was spotless and spacious. We loved the neighborhood and got along with the locals. Everyone was helpful and we had the best cappuccinos and gelato at the top of the hill. We could spend all day sight seeing and at the end of the day we felt like we were going home. It was comfortable. The subway entrance was a short walk away and from there everything was within 10-15 minutes. The owner even arranged transportation to and from the airport. We can't wait to do it again."

We visited Rome in April and stayed at this apartment. The accomodations were great...very clean, all amenities that you would need to feel at home were there. The owner, who also lives in the aparment, was a great help. She did everything she could to make our vacation in Rome more enjoyable. She was very helpful with transportation to and from the airport which made travelling a lot less stressful. The area had everything that you would need including a local market and an internet cafe was close by. I would recommend this apartment to anyone that wanted to be able to access all the sites in Rome but didn't want to be in a loud, busy area.

Wir hatten einen unvergeßlichen Aufenthalt in Rom, nicht zuletzt wegen der wunderschönen Unterkunft. Diese war erstklassig ausgestattet, da blieben keine Wünsche offen. Das Centrum war mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln schnell und bequem zu erreichen. Auch die Vermieterin Eliana hat uns den Start erleichtert, uns in der fremden Stadt zurechtzufinden durch eine sehr hilfreiche Vorbereitung (Plan Metro/Bus,Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants in der Nähe etc.) Ich würde das jederzeit wieder machen und weiterempfehlen

 "We found the property as described and pictured on the web site. The owner, who lives in the building, was very helpful in getting us started on our visit to Rome. She did many things to make our visit special, including arranging transportation for us to and from the airport. The people in the community where the apartment is located were very friendly as we purchased items from the vendors, the grocery and the bakery."

"We stayed in this apartment in November for two weeks and thoroughly enjoyed it. The apartment was equipped with everything even umbrellas for a rainy day. It is very spacious and quiet and handy to bus and metro transport. The bus was a 5 minute walk and it stopped immediatley outside the Vatican Museum. the Metro was about a 10-15 minute walk and central Rome was 10 minutes away. Each morning except Sunday, market gardeners came in with their produce at the top of the street and we visited them on a very regular basis. Everything else was available in the local piazza and the larger shopping centre of Cornelia was only 10 minutes walk away. Our hostess added a very special aspect to our stay. She was very friendly and so kind and offered many suggestions to make our stay in Rome that much better. We would certainly return here and would recommend it to our friends."

L'appartement de Madame Eliana  dans la proche banlieue de Rome nous a beaucoup plu. Il est très spacieux, très bien aménagé et très soigné. Il est situé dans un quartier calme où l'on pourra découvrir un autre visage de Rome, en dehors des masses de touristes. A 12 min. à pied de la station de Métro "Battistini" et à 5 min. à pied du Bus 49. Madame ARGANO est très attentionnée et très sympathique. Patrick, Ryoko Caroline (14 ans) et Aurélia (13 ans).

"This apartment is really nice and it is furnished with quality. It is very comfortable and has everything you need. The stores near the apartment are numerous and interesting. It is really easy to get the Rome center by metro and the parking for the car has been easy too. To all these qualities, we have to add the owner's warm hospitality and their high avalability. The only deceptive point has been to be there only few days. We hope to come back."

This owner treated us so royally that we kept extending our stay, who wants to go home? The place was exceptionally clean, tastefully decorated, had a living room you can use for a dance floor and we did, airconditioned, high speed internet, entertainment center and quite often an invitation to join the landlady for a Bar-B-Q party, remmeber to ask her to bring out the lemon liquor and tell her I sent you, then she will give you candies and ice-cream bars. Enjoy.

First of all, the property owners, the whole family is nice and the reception was warm and very friendly. That makes the first impression the best. The rooms, furnitures, etc are very good and clean.
